A few weeks to relax

This past week I finished up school for this semester. It kind of makes me sad, because I enjoyed most of my classes. Math is finally done with, it just is busy work which is hard to get done with my kids! I did well and I hope my efforts pay off when I apply to the Nursing Program for fall 2009. I know a couple of blogs ago I mentioned that I was not going to continue with school, but plans have changed yet again in our lives. It is hard for Lance and I to both go to school, and since I am closer to being done we decided that I will finish up first. Now I just need to get into this ridiculously competitive nursing program. We pray it will work out!
Lance and I are buying a Townhouse!!!!!! It is a really good deal, and it kind of scares us because it is our first house. I hear it's like signing your life away. They are brand new, so we get to pick all the of the colors and everything. They won't be done until the end of March, but we are excited! We were pre-approved, but we are not positive we will get a loan yet. We will see though. It's hard with one income, I don't get paid as a domestic engineer.
The kiddos are doing well. I have not done any Christmas shopping yet though. I have to wait for when Lance isn't working. Since he works all of the time, we will see how this gift buying will work out. Jaxon and Kyleigh are really cute with all of this Christmas stuff. I don't think they understand that Santa is coming though. I ask Jaxon what he wants for Christmas and he doesn't have a clue what I am talking about. Kyleigh started nursery last week, so now Jaxon gets to bring his sister. They are so stinking cute together, I love it! I am so blessed to have such sweet little spirits in my home. Well I better quit babbling.
Thanks for reading

Christmas pictures!!!

So last thursday we went to Target to get some pictures taken. I am suprised that the poor girl taking the pictures even got any good ones. Our little children were not cooperating at all. Well these are some of the pictures we got. I think they are cute, I just wish we could have gotten some big smiles out of these two stinkers. Amy please don't judge them too harshly:) If it was a perfect world you would take all of my pictures, but then I might make you crazy. Well enjoy!

Weekend, Twilight

My real life Edward!!!!!
So I love this time of the year because of all the super cheesy made for TV movies. I have been watching ABC Family and they just suck ya in. I just love the stories. Everyone is changing for the better, and falling in love. I LOVE IT!! I am so lame. I only have 3 more weeks of school and I am ready for this semester to be about over. Math and BioChem have taken over my life. Next semester won't be so time consuming hopefully. I guess taking classes online does make them a little more time consuming, but at least I don't have to go anywhere.

So I just read all of the Twilight books in August and have been waiting for the movie to come out. I just had to go last night and see it. I really enjoyed it. When you read books you picture things a different way, but I thought they did a good job. My favorite thing about the movie was the music. If you have not listened to the soundtrack you need to. I grew up with my mom playing the piano all of the time, so I have a great appreciation for music. I wish I could have a soundtrack to my life. Well it was nice to get a night out, and I think I should do it more often. I really am excited to see the Breaking Dawn in the theaters, that one will be fun to watch. Well I have a while. Kyleigh will have probably read all of the books and will want to come with me. Wow, that scares me. Well Happy Sunday!

I am not a very smart blogger!

So everyone that I sent my e-mail to to add me to their blogs, it was wrong. When I started this blog I used my husband's e-mail and I have everything sent to my e-mail. So whoever has gone private if you could sent an invitation to socr21@comcast.net I would appreciate it. It makes me sad not being able to look at other people's blogs. Thank you very much!

Going private

So I have decided that is creeps me out that anyone can look at pictures of my family. I love that friends and family can look at my blog to see what is going on, but I will have to make it as safe as possible. So leave your e-mail and I will add it. I will probably be making the transition next week sometime. Thanks

Halloween

Lance and I were vampires at the Halloween party
This is my niece Alyx, I just thought this was cute After trick or treating

She LOVES her daddy

She tried to keep up with Jaxon all night.

My sorry excuse for a costume, I wasn't feeling good

This look is mischievous!

Pumpkin carving is more for the parents!

Oh my goodness, I love having little kids. They were so much fun this year! First we went to our ward party and they had little stations for the kids to go to. Lance and I have decided that the Kyleigh is good luck. She wins at everything! She doesn't really try very hard, she is just lucky! Lance and I should take her to Vegas. Well after the ward party we went trick or treating around the neighborhood. They both pretty much ran/walked the whole time. The first house we went to Jaxon walked right in. Then at other houses he was showing them what he got from the house before. He was so polite, I was so proud of him. They had so much fun. Jaxon was a Vampire and Kyleigh was a Devil. The devil really was coming out of her that night, but it was cute. Saturday we went to a Halloween party at my sister-in-law's mom's house. It was fun. Life is just crazy busy right now and we are just taking one day at a time. Enjoy the pictures!

Kids Tag

This Tag has been so fun. Thanks Tristen. It has been fun to hear all of the cute facts about my fellow blogging mother's children. I hope that sentence made sense. Ok hear goes;

RULES: Tell five things about your kids that people might not know, and you have to do all of your kids!

Jaxon-

1. Jaxon came into this world super mellow. I couldn't wake him to get him to eat for the first 3 days of life. I had so many lactation specialists coming in trying to shove bottle nipples in his face to wake him up and get him aroused somehow. We stripped him down to his diaper, NOTHING! He seriously was so lazy!

2. Jaxon slept through the night at 5 weeks old! He would usually go to bed at 8pm and wake up at 8am. It was so nice to have a baby that was so easy going because I needed it.

3. We got him a toddler bed when he was probably almost 15 months! Worst idea ever! Of course Kyleigh came 2 months later, so it would have happened sooner or later. Nap time and bed time became a chore. He would not stay in that bed. He started to get better, but here is some advice for you mothers out there, keep the crib as long as possible. I got so sick of taking up a full hour at nap time and 2 hours at bed time to try to get him to go to sleep. He now has a twin bed and sleeps in it much better. I hope I don't sound mean. I have been a stay at home mom, so by the end of the day, my children need to go to sleep!!:):)

4. Jaxon is a PICKY eater! It boggles my mind what he will and will not eat. He eats oatmeal, but will not eat potatoes? He eats dark chocolate, but not milk chocolate. He analyzes everything I give him, (probably because he knows I try to hide "healthier" foods with the food he likes). The other day I added baby sweet potatoes to his macaroni and cheese, I thought it was smart. He was making the strangest faces, like he knew something was different. Mom was up to her old tricks trying to get some kind of veggie in him. IT WORKED! I know I am gross, but ya do what you got to do sometimes.

5. Jaxon loves his sister! He doesn't really take naps anymore, but Kyleigh does. We listen to the monitor and when he hears her, he gets so excited. He runs to get her with me. When I get her out of her crib he hugs her and kisses her. It is pretty much the sweetest thing ever. Sometimes she doesn't return the enthusiasm though.

Kyleigh-

1. I love Kyleigh, but she is so much drama. Jaxon was an easy baby, and she has been more of a challenge. She has been getting some more teeth lately and has been very emotional. I kind of scolded her the other day and she did the pouty lip thing and then burst into tears. I was like seriously? She also always say No. It is her favorite word.

2. Kyleigh did not sleep though the night until she was 1. I breastfed her for a year and I think that played a role. Now she sleeps from 8pm to usually 9am, if we don't get her up earlier. Plus she takes a nap in the afternoon. I think Jaxon and her have switched sleeping patterns.

3. Kyleigh is the opposite of Jaxon, she eats everything. The only thing that has made her gag is applesauce. Weird huh? She will eat baby veggie after baby veggie, but don't get applesauce near her. You'd think she would be a big chubby gal, but she is a runt. She must work it off.

4. She has to eat by herself. If I start to help her, she will say "no, no, no." It makes for a very messy meal. I usually strip her down to feed her. I must say she is getting better.

5. Kyleigh's got rhythm. As soon as she hears music, she will stat to bounce up and down. If she is sitting on my lap she will start to shimmy. I love it! She is going to be taking dance classes as soon as we can get her in them.

Well those are my kids. Hopefully this was an entertaining read! I just posted these pictures from our treehouse adventure. Amy your pictures were so much better then mine.

I Tag my dear sister in law Amy and my cousin Jennifer:)

Please

I just had to take a minute today to talk about how stinkin cute my kids are. Jaxon is FINALLY talking! Well he has been talking for a while, but in a special language. I understand most of what he says now, but I am around him a lot. If you aren't around him a lot he might be harder to understand. So guess who else is talking? Kyleigh! She is saying so many words. This is proof to me that girls develope faster then boys. A couple of weeks ago she started saying please. It is the most adorable thing I have ever heard. It is more like a "p-e-e-e-e-e-z-e." She only had two teeth on the top and two on the bottom, so that makes it even more precious. She also loves to read books. She comes over to you when you are sitting down and says "com-on." Then she walks you over to the fridge and says, "wat-r." She just cracks me up. The only bad thing about having my children start talking, is that they say what I say. Of course there is the infamous, "NO." I told Jaxon one day that a movie was boring, and now he says that all of the time. "No mommy, dat's boring." The newest thing is, "just one more mommy." I just can't resist it. After a couple of "just one more"'s it gets a little old. Also thanks to Diego Jaxon now counts better in spanish than english. He was counting floor tiles the other day when Lance noticed he was saying "uno, dose......" Every time he does it we try to get him to count in english. He can only count to 8 in spanish, so he is going to think that one, two, three comes after ocho. Well I am sure I could go on and on about the little things my kids do that are hillarious, but I have got to run.

I miss my kids!!

I haven't been able to post anything for a couple of weeks because school started. Oh my goodness is life crazy. I started a job in a nursing home the same week school started too. Lance is also in school, so we are both stressed out. I wanted to try to get into the nursing program at Weber, but have decided that now is not the time. I never thought I would miss my kids this much! I have been there all day everyday since they were born. I kept thinking I wanted a career, so I could make money to take care of them. Life gets confusing sometimes. I do not want to miss this part of my kids life. Jaxon is talking like crazy, even Kyleigh is starting to say more. I don't want to be stressed out while trying to raise my kiddos. When momma ain't happy ain't nobody happy. I quit my job, so now I can finish off this semester and start school again someday. Being a mom is an amazing thing. I need them and they need me, even if they stress me out sometimes! It is a good stress. So I am down for playdates and everything to all those out their with kids. Time flies and I don't want to miss a second. When they are teenagers they will hate me, so I need all the love they can give me now:) I am so thankful for my awesome loving husband that puts up with my crazy ideas. I hope he knows how lucky I am to have him for a husband, he has always taken care of me. Well I think I am rambling now so I better get off of here.

Thanks for reading *Kathy*

Did you lose some weight?

So I have been feeling down on myself lately because I have been stuck at the same weight for some time now. Vacations and camping also do not help with eating good!!!! I don't know why I give myself such a hard time because I have come a long way. Todays blog is just about me. I was a fat teenager and I don't care if anyone says I wasn't, because I was! I weighed about as much in 8th grade as I did 9 months pregnant with Kyleigh. I remember boys on the bus making fun of me and calling me jiggle, jiggle. That was also part of middle school I am sure, stupid boys. In high school I started to lose weight. I went to 2 years of high school up in Idaho and 2 years in Utah. At the end of my senior year I was finally happy with my weight. Then came college and dating and EATING OUT!!! Then I met Lance and we got pregnant with Jaxon. I put on over 50 lbs with him. After I had him I tried to lose the weight, and it seemed to be coming off slowly but surely. Then we decided to try to get pregnant again. Jaxon was 9 months when I got pregnant with Kyleigh. My poor body! Well when there's a will there's a way! After I had Kyleigh I was determined to loose some weight. So I have done it! I have passed my initial goal, but have made new ones. I hope to meet them by the end of this year. I just want to take the time to brag because I have worked really hard. So I am sorry if this offends anyone. Hopefully I can give you inspiration.

As of last summer, after already having Kyleigh I have lost about 30 lbs. I like to look at the inches more then the weight though! I really don't want to sound like I am bragging, I am just being proud of myself for the moment.

I have lost; chest 5"
left arm 2 1/4 "
right arm 1 3/4"
waist 6 1/2"
hips 6 3/4"
left thigh 4 3/4"
right thigh 4 3/4"

total: 31 1/2"

Ok now here is the before and after picture. I was pregnant with Jaxon here. The other isn't the greatest picture, but I didn't want to post the same one from the other Vegas pictures. I weighed over 60 more lbs then I do now. I always am giving myself a hard time, but congrats to me! I am the smaller then I ever was in high school!

Thanks for reading!

Las Vegas Baby!!!!

So we got back from Vegas a week ago, I have just not posted anything. Suprise, suprise!! Well I have actually been reading the Twilight series books, I have become an addict. I actually plan to hurry this blog so I can finish what I have started. To anyone that has not read these books, they are so good. Well I have not finished them all yet, but I am in the middle of the third one.

Anyway, about Vegas. It was so nice to spend some time alone with my husband! He spoiled me while we were there:) It was soo much fun. We went to the Phantom, Mysteire, and KA. He wants to take me back to go and see "O" too soon. We also went on the New york, New york, and up to the top of the Eiffel Tower. There was never a dull moment. I will admit it got a little tiring walking up and down the strip, but it was fun. Lance our next vacation we are going to go to some secluded beach:) Toward the end we missed our kids like crazy and skipped our lunch planned for the Cheesecake Factory and headed home. We are so lucky to have them and so lucky to have Lance's parents that took the time off to watch the little angels. Happy anniversary Lance, 3 years!!!!!
